THE PRISONER
The Prisoner is a 1967 British television series loosely based on the story of Spike Milligan who was imprisoned on a dystopian island after being convicted of stealing doilies and toilet paper from a London hotel. Only one series was made before the creators were ordered to cease production as the show was causing embarrassment for the government of the day.
